We work in partnership with:

Waklisa Development Association: Waklisa is a registered and licensed Ethiopian Residents CSO operating under the Charities and Societies Proclamation of Ethiopia. The organization aims to foster an equitable, developed, transformed, and poverty-free pastoralist community. Waklisa implements multi-sectoral projects that benefit pastoral communities in areas such as health, education, WASH, livelihoods, and women's empowerment. The organization was co-founded by individuals from Afar, including a graduate of the Barefoot Initiative scholarship program, Abdo Abahaba, who graduated from our Scholarship Program in 2017 with a bachelor of Clinical Nursing and Public Health.

We are so happy to partner and work alongside Waklisa. This partnership aligns with our strategic objective, which is to support Afar people to become leaders of their own change process.  We look forward to developing this partnership and watching Waklisa grow!
